3. Cookies
"Cookies" are used on our website in isolated cases. Cookies are small text files which are placed on your computer and stored by your browser, provided the storage of cookies is activated in your browser. Cookies cannot be matched directly to specific people and do not contain personal data. Cookies cause no harm to your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies are divided into two categories: "transient" and "persistent" cookies, which we will explain below.
Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. This category particularly includes session cookies. These cookies store a so-called "session ID," which allows different queries from your browser to be matched to a single session. As a result, your computer will be recognized if you return to our website. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.
Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may differ depending on the cookie. You can delete the cookies at any time by changing your browser's security settings.
The legal basis for the processing of cookies and the associated personal data is Article 6(1) Sentence 1 f of the GDPR (legitimate interest). This processing serves our legitimate interest in making our offerings more effective, more user-friendly and more secure.
You can configure your browser settings any way you wish; for example, you can refuse to accept cookies, in whole or in part, if you do not want cookies to be stored on your computer. Cookies which are already stored on your computer can be deleted by changing your browser's system settings.
