Self-Sealing Coupling

In many operating processes, devices, machines or plants require gaseous and fluid media as well as electrical power or data transfer. For a flexible and thus economic use or for maintenance purposes, many lines are not permanently attached but separately connected with self-sealing couplings.

Self-sealing couplings allow an efficient and reliable connection and change of systems, aggregates, devices etc. Often they are required to link most efficiently mobile components to other mobile units or to stationary systems.

Beneath the general requirement to shorten unproductive setup and changeover times, occupational and environmental safety aspects gain more and more significance. Safe systems which avoid incidents become more important as they are more cost effective in the long run. Quick coupling systems, either as mono couplings or multi couplings contribute considerably to increase safety. They can be used in conventional as well as in special applications.

While the use of mono couplings allows only one line to be connected at the time, several lines can be connected simultaneously when using multi couplings.  Multi couplings are particularly used in cost-instensive plants and machines, thus where short setup times and non-interchangebility of the lines are especially important.
