Inert Gas

Inert gas is a gas or gas mixture which, in particular, displaces the oxygen in the air to avoid adverse reactions (oxidation etc.).

WALTHER standard couplings* have proven effective.

Some existing inert gas can also perform other functions: In coaxial couplings, electrical contacts can be cooled for example.

* With the simultaneous use of several gases, we recommend our  non-interchangeable couplings in the UF or UM series.
